Event Description

The dynamic tech ecosystem in Alberta owes its vibrancy to dedicated organizations and individuals who tirelessly contribute to growing entrepreneurship across the province. In the spirit of collaboration, we’d love to share more about Alberta Catalyzer’s Velocity program—our capstone offering designed to help Alberta startups get investment-ready, refine their pitches, and scale their businesses. This fall, Velocity is launching a hybrid cohort (October–December 2025) that will bring founders together both in person in Calgary and virtually from anywhere in Alberta. Who is this for? Tech Ecosystem Builders and Support Organizations: Individuals and organizations actively involved in nurturing and supporting the tech ecosystem in Alberta. Example: incubators, accelerators, business development organizations, and community leaders. Entrepreneurial Support Networks: Networks that provide resources, mentorship, and guidance to early-stage entrepreneurs. Example: industry associations, business chambers, and groups fostering entrepreneurship in various sectors. Post-Secondary Institutions: Faculty, staff, and departments that are engaged in supporting entrepreneurship and innovation. Why Attend? Learn About Our Resources: Gain insights into Alberta Catalyzer's distinctive programs tailored to accelerate the growth journey of early-stage startups. Explore Collaborative Opportunities: Explore how we can collectively enhance the support for entrepreneurs in Alberta. Interactive Q&A Session: Engage in a live Q&A session and gain a deeper understanding of how Alberta Catalyzer aligns with your goals. About Alberta Catalyzer Alberta Catalyzer is a merit based, pre-accelerator, developed and delivered by Platform Calgary and Edmonton Unlimited, with support from partners and organizations across the Alberta Innovation Network. Alberta Catalyzer is part of the Alberta Scaleup and Growth Accelerator Program, led by Alberta Innovates. The consortium, which also includes Technology and Innovation, Edmonton Unlimited and Prairies Economic Development Canada (PrairiesCan), allocated $35 million over three years to retain business accelerators. It's part of an overall government goal to help create 20,000 jobs and increase technology firm revenue to $5 billion by 2030.
