United Way - Calgary Forward

About this event

A thought leader conversation on the future of our community Join us for a timely and thought-provoking conversation with United Way President and CEO Karen Young and Calgary Chief of Police Katie McLellan on what it will take for Calgary to thrive in the years ahead. Calgary is growing, changing and facing complex social pressures that no one organization or sector can solve alone. At the same time, our city has extraordinary strengths: committed community leaders, generous donors, engaged workplaces and a shared belief that Calgary can be a place where everyone has the opportunity to belong, contribute and thrive. Through a fireside chat-style conversation, Karen and Katie will explore the future of our city, the social conditions that support safety and resilience, and the partnerships needed to respond to community challenges with purpose. Guests will hear timely perspectives on growth, prevention, community safety and the role we can each play in building a stronger Calgary.
